Horseplay Equestrian is part of the Barnabas Family of Ministries, providing free programs to youth in Ottawa County and surrounding areas.  Horseplay’s calling is to come alongside high-risk youth and provide a place where they can experience healing and discover hope in Jesus Christ.  The horses at the farm are used to help teach kids about love, trust, truth, forgiveness, and life change.  

At Horseplay, we have the opportunity to be Jesus to some amazing youth who are experiencing various storms in their lives.  By working with a horse, youth get to experience different situations that relate to the storms they are facing in life.  The staff and volunteers at Horseplay get to direct them to the hope they have in Jesus, who promises to be our refuge in the storm.  Everything we do at Horseplay, from cleaning stalls to riding, aims to point youth back to the cross.  These experiences give youth a hands-on picture to help them understand the love of God and teach lessons that are not only applicable here at the farm, but also in life when they enter back into the storms.
